Kayla R. Stephen

Kayla Stephen practices in the areas of criminal defense and habeas corpus law. She is admitted to the practice of law in the State of Connecticut.

Kayla joined the firm in May 2020 as a certified law school graduate. She became an attorney in December 2020. During law school, she worked as a law clerk for a boutique law firm that focused on real estate law and personal injury law. She also worked as an intern for the Connecticut Innocence Project, and she served as the inaugural Thomas J. Ullmann Fellow for the Office of the Public Defender for the Judicial District of New Haven.

Kayla graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2020, where she received a Juris Doctor degree, and from Flagler College in 2017, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
