Virginia M. Gillette

Virginia Gillette practices in the areas of criminal defense and habeas corpus law. She is admitted to the practice of law in the State of Connecticut.

Virginia joined the firm in June 2021. Before joining the firm, she worked as a law clerk and attorney for a criminal defense firm in Hartford. During law school, she worked as an intern for the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of Connecticut in Hartford, as an intern for two criminal defense firms in New Haven, and as a summer associate for an insurance defense firm in Hartford. She also completed a year-long placement within her law school’s defense appellate clinic, during which she briefed, argued, and won a criminal appeal to the Connecticut Appellate Court in 2020.

Virginia graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2020, where she received a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, and from the University of New Haven in 2017, where she received two Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and National Security Studies, with a minor in Sociology, magna cum laude.
