Anna-Liisa Nixon

Supervising Attorney

Anna-Liisa Nixon practices in the areas of elder law and probate law. Her practice focuses on contested cases and crisis cases. She handles conservatorship disputes, estate disputes, power of attorney disputes, trust disputes, and other fiduciary disputes. She also handles Medicaid asset protection planning, as well as applications for Medicaid for long-term care.

Anna-Liisa joined the firm in February 2020. Before joining the firm, she worked as a staff attorney at the Law Office of the Capital Collateral Regional Counsel, Southern Region, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and she worked as a Judy Clarke Fellow at the Center for Capital Litigation in Columbia, South Carolina. During law school, she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Quinnipiac Law Review, and she received a full tuition Dean's Fellows Scholarship.

Anna-Liisa graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2005, where she received a Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, and from New York University in 2002, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy.

Anna-Liisa is admitted to the practice of law in the State of Connecticut, the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
